Top 3 running routes in Seoul๐Ÿƒ

Mr. & Mrs. Seoul 2025. 3. 13.

Running is a global craze, and it's no different in Korea. It's incredibly popular here too. Let me share with you the running route I often run and have been really satisfied with.

1. Yeouido Hangang Park

Distance : 8.2km

Yeouido is often referred to as Korea's Wall Street due to the large number of financial professionals working there. But it's also popular for running, and it's sometimes called the "sweet potato running course" because the route resembles a sweet potato shape once you complete the first lap.

One of the great perks of this route is that you get to run along the Han River, enjoying the cool breeze and scenic views of the river and surrounding greenery.

Along the way, you'll also pass iconic landmarks like the National Assembly, the 63 Building, and the KBS broadcasting station.

2. Namsan

Distance : 7.1Km

Actually, this isn't an official route, but I'll share the course I ran so you can experience the ups and downs, as well as the diverse scenery of Namsan.

If you're finding it tough to keep running, feel free to take a break at Namsan Seoul Tower. And if you need a bit more relief, you can pass by the Ahn Jung-geun Memorial Hall and head toward Myeong-dong to enjoy the area.

3. Yeouido Park

Distance : 2.5Km

Yeouido Park is a popular running spot for beginners, offering a well-maintained track that’s perfect for those new to running. The track is 2.5 km per lap, making it an easy and manageable distance for most runners.

While running, you’ll get to enjoy views of iconic landmarks such as IFC, a cluster of major financial buildings, and the famous shopping malls like The Hyundai Department Store and Parc.1, which are located nearby. It’s a great place to enjoy a run while experiencing the lively atmosphere of this bustling part of Seoul!
